Strong winds over the weekend resulted in call-outs for Hastings firefighters.
On Sunday (25th November) morning at 8.30am crews were called to the tenth floor of Marine Court along the seafront. The Aerial Ladder Platform was used to gain access to loose scaffolding boards, which were secured by firefighters.
Later on that day, at 2.20pm in the afternoon, crews had to cordon off a section of Robertson Street due to falling masonry. Crews set about making the area safe for the public.
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service advise that when there are gale force winds to stay inside and not to attempt to make unsafe structures safe and , if possible, stay off the road.
