Bedroom fire in Seaside, Eastbourne

On 22nd July at 10.13am, crews from Eastbourne and Pevensey responded to a fire at a terraced property on Firle Road, Seaside, Eastbourne. The first appliance was on the scene within only three minutes of responding.

On arrival, crews reported smoke issuing from the property and confirmed the fire was in the upper floor bedroom. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, which was increased to six breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets. Three people were led to safety and crews requested an Ambulance.

At 10.39am, firefighters confirmed that all persons were accounted for. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
