Fun for all at Hastings Community Fire Station’s Open Day

Hastings Community Fire Station, Bohemia Road will open their station to the public on Saturday 13th July between 11am and 3pm.

Families will be able to meet with firefighters and learn about fire and road safety. Children will  be entertained with various activities.

Watch Manager Doug Marshall said: “Everyone is welcome. The crew are looking forward to welcoming visitors and demonstrating our skills and capabilities as well as discussing the proactive role we carry out to make the community safer. Demonstrations throughout the day include extracting a mock casualty from a road traffic collision and fire response.

Please bring the family to meet the operational firefighters of Hastings, this is a wonderful opportunity to see what your firefighters and East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service  are capable of doing for you.”

Light refreshments will be available to visitors who will also be given the opportunity to look around a fire engine and see the equipment they carry.
