Around 35 firefighters tackle Bexhill house fire overnight

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have tackled a house fire in Bexhill overnight.

The call was received at 23.48 on 27 August 2013, reporting a fire at Windsor Road.

Crews from Bexhill, Hastings (Bohemia Road and The Ridge) and Pevensey attended along with a control unit from Lewes. Around 35 firefighters were involved in the incident.

The fire spread into the roof and it partially collapsed.

Six breathing apparatus were used, along with foam and water.

A re-inspection of the building is due to take place around lunchtime.

We have no reports of any injuries.
