Bexhill community fire station’s Open Day – Saturday 31st August

Bexhill community fire station’s Open Day will be held on Saturday 31stAugust between 10am and 3pm.

Local families are invited to come and meet their local firefighters and find out more about what’s involved in modern day firefighting and extrication techniques.

A casualty will be rescued from a smoke filled tower during one of many demonstrations, which will also include a chip pan fire demonstration and a road traffic collision extrication demonstration.

Children can have a good look around the fire station and pretend to be firefighters by exploring a fire engine!

Firefighter, Ross Griffin, said: “We’re really looking forward to meeting our local community. There lots of activities planned for the children, so it really will be a good, family day out. Come along and meet your local firefighters. We’ll hopefully see you there!”
