Brighton and Hove 999 Fun Day

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service are gearing up to welcome the crowds at the 2013 Brighton and Hove Fun Day.

The event is taking place on Sunday 11th August 2013 from 11am - 5pm at Hove Lawns, Kingsway, Hove. We are joining Emergency Services from across Sussex including Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard & RNLI for an action packed fun day.

Demonstrations taking place include showing how we rescue people from cars after road traffic collisions and the dos and don’ts of dealing with chip pan fires. The Community Fire Safety team will also be on hand to give fire safety advice and information about the Black Museum.

Borough Commander Mark Matthews said:

“This is always a great event. It is a brilliant chance for us to meet both locals and visitors to Brighton and Hove. We hope people will come along, say hello and ask us any questions they may have about fire safety. We also want people to have fun. Children can colour in our pictures and then turn them into badges and we will also have a fire appliance on display, so people can see just how well equipped modern appliances are.”
