Snake eye camera used to locate fire in Hove

A stop message has been received for a fire at a property in Hove

Three fire engines from Hove and Preston Circus, as well as the Aerial Ladder Platform, were sent to an incident at Landsdowne Place, Hove, at 11.38am this morning (20th August).

The fire within the wall cavity, spread over three floors, was tackled by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. Crews used two hose reels and firefighting foam to fight the fire, along with a snake eye camera (a gadget with a long extendable rod with a camera on the end) to help locate the fire.

No-one was injured in the fire. Western Road was initially closed to motorists but is now re-opened to the public.
