Firefighters rescue person trapped in car fire in Lower Dicker

One person was rescued from a burning car following a road traffic collision at the Boship Roundabout at the weekend.

Two fire engines from Hailsham and Herstmonceux attended the incident at Lower Dicker, near the Boship Roundabout yesterday (1stSeptember) at 3.04pm.

Two people were rescued by crews and taken to hospital via ambulance and firefighters freed a third person from a burning vehicle, who was then taken to hospital via air ambulance.

Crews remained at the two-vehicle collision until 4.50pm and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
