Welcome the colder weather with Wealden’s Free Electric Blanket Testing Service

Wealden's free electric blanket testing service is back again for three days in October.

Last year's events resulted in 245 blankets tested, with 37% failing to meet safety standards. The sessions also provide an opportunity to get friendly advice and information on home safety, house adaptations, energy efficiency, home security, fire prevention and local services.

The blanket testing programme is co-ordinated by Wealden District Council in partnership with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Sussex Police, East Sussex Trading Standards, Age UK and Care for the Carers. The event has been kindly funded by the Safer Wealden Partnership.
