Weather-related incidents continue

  • Forest Row firefighters were called to a cottage this morning (28th October) in Wythiam, following reports of severe flooding. One crew arrived on the scene at 8.50am and were still at the incident at 10am and are expected to be there for some time. A submersible pump is being used by crews to remove the water.
  • Firefighters were called to a church in Wadhurst  at 8.05am after a large amount of damage to a steeple of a church. Crews made the area safe after debris was found in the church yard. Firefighters are currently liaising with church staff and were still at the scene at 10am.
