Firefighters from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have been tackling a fire in the early hours of this morning in Dallington.
At its height four crews from Heathfield, Burwash and two crews from Battle, along with the control unit from Bexhill, were sent to tackle the barn blaze, measuring 50m by 15m and containing hay and farm machinery.
Crews were called to the incident at 3.48am this morning (12th November) in Battle Road and are expected to be there for some time today.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reels and 1-in-7 foam to tackle the blaze, involving 100 tonnes of straw.
Relief crews from Burwash, Hailsham, Wadhurst and Heathfield have now taken over.
