East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews have attended a small number of incidents since the latest Fire Brigades Union strike began at 7pm tonight (24 December).
Crews went to the scene of a road traffic collision in Pevensey and washed down the road, and a flat fire in Hastings where one person was taken to hospital. They were also called to reports of a woman trapped on the roof of a car in fast moving water in Piltdown. The police also attended and the woman was successfully rescued.
The strike continues until midnight.
A further update will be posted on our website once the industrial action ends tonight.
