Power problems in Rotherfield after house fire

A fire investigation is underway after a house in Rotherfield caught fire this morning.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called out at 10.30am on 5 February 2014 to a home on Church Road.

The first floor and roof were on fire.

Five appliances were sent to the scene and crews used six breathing apparatus, main jets and hose reel to put out the blaze. They also carried out a salvage operation.

There are no reports of injuries.

As of 17.30 there were problems with power supplies in the area. UK Power Networks estimate this will last until 20.00.
