On 18th March at 13.45pm, crews from Newhaven and Seaford were dispatched to a fire at the Golden Palace restaurant in Seaford.
On arrival crews confirmed that smoke was issuing from the basement. Four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and compressed air foam were used to tackle the fire.
Additional appliances were sent from Newhaven and Roedean.
At 16.54, crews were still at the scene cutting away and damping down.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
