Crews were called to an incident in Eastbourne after a fire took hold in the roof area.
Two fire engines from Eastbourne and Pevensey, along with the Aerial Ladder Platform, were sent to Cavendish Place, at 6.25pm on Friday evening (21st March).
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service received three calls from members of the public alerting the emergency services to the fire in the semi-detached property.
The fire was located in the roof space and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the flames.
The Aerial Ladder Platform was used to look for any hot spots in the roof space, with the use of a thermal imaging camera.
Crews remained at the scene damping down until 8.10pm, with the cause of the fire found to be accidental.
