Hove firefighters leading the way at this year’s Hove Carnival!

This year’s Hove Carnival will be on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th May, 2014 at Hove Park from midday onwards. You can expect a wide array of events and all your carnival favourites - and if that wasn’t enough, firefighters from Hove will also be showcasing their skills and joining in the fun!

Crews from Hove will be on hand to give you a warm welcome and discuss what’s involved in modern day firefighting and prevention work. A fire engine will also be there for children and families to explore and have a good look around.

Mark Matthews, City Borough Commander said “We welcome everyone from our local community to come along and meet their local firefighters. It’s a great opportunity to see what we do every day and how we work to reduce fire, road traffic collisions and other emergencies in Hove whilst ensuring we are fully prepared to react to emergency incidents when they do occur.

The role of the Fire Service continues to expand and widen as the risk to the communities we serve evolves. What stays consistent is our commitment to ensuring the safety of residents, road users, businesses and visitors to Brighton & Hove.”
