East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has been at the scene of a serious fire in Hastings overnight.
Crews were called to an address on Marine Parade at 00.34 this morning 25 May 2014.
At the height of the incident, around 40 firefighters were at the scene.
The Command Unit and officers also attended, and aerial ladder platforms were used.
The fire badly damaged the first and second floor as well as the the roof space.
One person has been taken to hospital.
Crews remain at the scene.
The building - which is in a row of seven terraced properties including homes and shops - is unsafe and a structural survey is being arranged.
