Normal cover resumed after lunchtime strike

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has resumed normal cover following a two hour strike by members of the Fire Brigades Union.

The industrial action took place between noon and 2pm today, 16th August 2014 as part of the ongoing dispute with Government over pensions.

Contingency crews were on duty and attended one incident which turned out to be a false alarm.

A further strike takes place tonight between 22.59 and 23.59.

East Sussex fire and Rescue Service asks that you take extra care during this time.
