A one hour strike by members of the Fire Brigades Union has ended, with the public being thanked by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service for their ongoing vigilance.
The industrial action took place between 22.59 and 23.59 on 11 August as part of the national dispute with the Government over pensions.
Contingency crews were on duty, ready to respond to 999 calls in East Sussex and the city of Brighton and Hove. However for the third strike in a row, we did not attend any incidents.
Strikes will continue every day this week, up to and including 16 August 2014 between noon and 2pm and again between 22.59 and 23.59.
