Reports of partial building collapse in Brighton



East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called at 13.16 on 18 February 2015 to reports of a roof collapse at Over Street in Brighton.


Two fire engines from Preston Circus, along with one fire engine and the technical rescue unit from Lewes have been sent to the scene. The aerial ladder platform has also been mobilised.

The building is made of three floors plus a basement. Firefighters on the scene say the building has partially collapsed.

The area has been cordoned off.

There are no reports of casualties at this stage.

Sussex Police are also in attendance.
